Cutting Color Circles

Here is a visual of cutting circles and then rearranging the pieces. It's easy peasy.

This tutorial requires a blade cutter, a acrylic roller and a pasta machine.

Try to select colors that are sure to blend well. Adding a bold color and a light color to the mix really makes the colors blend well.

Directions
  1. Pick out 4 complimentary colors.
  2. Condition clay. Shape into a pear.
  3. With a roller flatten pear shapes. Make sure sides are touching.
  4. Continue to flatten until you can comfortable roll the clay on the largest setting of a pasta machine.  Continue rolling until satisfied with the color blend.
  5. With circular cutters begin cutting shapes and rearranging the colors. For sharp edges don't roll through pasta machine again. For softer edges roll through pasta machine several times.
Done.
